POLC and GELC Stewards are encouraged to register today to expand their labor relations knowledge through one of two free POLC/GELC Spring Steward Seminars in April.

The Westside Steward Seminar is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Casino Club, 3260 Salerno Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. The Eastside Steward Seminar is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 at Warren F.O.P. Hall, 11304 E. 14 Mile Road, Warren, MI 48093.

Topics covered will include information on steward responsibilities, grievances, Garrity, Weingarten, Loudermill, interviews, union representation, legal updates, critical incidents, and MERS and MCOLES updates.

The seminars begin with check-in and complimentary coffee and donuts and conclude with lunch provided at Noon.
