Backing the Blue Michigan is hosting a fundraiser to benefit Charlotte Police Department, providing funds for a new K9 unit and the Backing the Blue Michigan Scholarship Fund.

Their first event since COVID-19, Backing the Blue Michigan is hosting a $10,000 Reverse Raffle and Silent Auction this Saturday, April 27 at Kardel Hall, 1025 Cochran Avenue, Charlotte, MI 48813. The event includes dinner, cocktails and drawing entry for $150 for two guests or $100 for drawing entry only.

Charlotte Police Supervisory and Police Non-Supervisory are represented by the Police Officers Labor Council. They are the first agency this year to benefit from one of up to 12 events to be held annually by Backing the Blue Michigan.

The non-profit provides scholarship opportunities for children of fallen Michigan police officers and grants to Michigan law enforcement agencies for K9 units, new and upgraded equipment, training and more.
