The memory of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against our nation has not faded 25 years later. The Police Officers Labor Council honors the immense courage and ultimate sacrifice made by so many First Responders who risked everything to save victims that fateful day.
Sadly, the lives lost expand yearly as our heroes, who survived the attacks, continue to suffer from serious illnesses directly related to their exposure to toxins during rescue efforts. Law Enforcement Officers who perished as a result of serving and protecting their communities from the 9/11 tragedies continue to be added annually to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C.
The public is invited to pay tribute to the fallen Officers during the Law Enforcement 9/11 Memorial Ceremony — 25th Year Commemoration at 4 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026 at the Memorial.
The POLC will forever hold these brave men and women in sacred memory!
