'POST TRAUMATIC PURPOSE' FOR FIRST RESPONDERS, SPOUSES COMES TO LANSING
Feb 12, 2026

Former Police Officer, Firefighter, and U.S. Marine Travis Howze understands the severe impact of Post Traumatic Stress and has turned his recovery into an empowering, educational presentation.

Travis Howze: Post Traumatic Purpose is being presented in East Lansing on Saturday, June 20, 2026 due to the combined efforts of the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office Peer Support Team and Michigan State University (MSU) Police Department. The motivational wellness educator will be sharing his impactful message from 9:30 a.m. to Noon at the Wharton Center on MSU’s campus. Doors open at 8 a.m. and all seats are general admission.

First Responders and their spouses are invited to this event, which will focus on leadership, mental wellness and resiliency. Tickets are very affordable at $5 per spouse and $15 per First Responder.

“Authentically raw and uncensored, Post Traumatic Purpose gives a realistic view of the mental health epidemic that plagues our first responders and their families,” states Howze’s online bio. “Travis’ transparent approach builds a relatability that not only connects with the individual responder but their families; including spouses who are always encouraged to attend in hopes of promoting career and family longevity.”

The event will feature several other First Responder booths focused on First Responder needs, including financial, mental health, substance abuse, and many other services. All information is confidential and attendees are encouraged to visit the booths to gather information to share with their departments.
