Take the time to recognize POLC-represented police officers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty by nominating them for POLC Outstanding Service Awards by the June 1, 2026 deadline.

Police Officers Labor Council members and supervisors may nominate officers for exceptional events or service that occurred between May 1, 2025 and May 1, 2026. Outstanding Service Awards criteria includes leadership or community service, and bravery or valor.

The online Nomination Entry Form must be signed and submitted, along with a signed essay explaining why the nominee should be considered and any supporting documentation.   

Outstanding Service Award recipients will be formally honored during the 2026 Annual POLC/GELC Conference, which will be held Sept. 23-25 in Traverse City.
