The Fall 2024 Police Officers Journal showcases the extraordinary acts of three law enforcement officers who were recognized with 2024 POLC Outstanding Service Awards. Holland Public Safety Officer Stephen Manning, Van Buren County Sheriff’s Sgt. Paul Graham and Coloma Township Police Chief Wesley Smigielski were honored at the 2024 POLC/GELC Annual Conference in September for their lifesaving responses during three different incidents.

During the Conference, Labor Representative Chet Kulesza, who retired in late September, was honored for two decades of representing members. The Unions also recognized the longtime service of former Executive Committee Chairman Steve McInchak, who now serves as Flat Rock Police Chief.
