The Police Officers Labor Council will never forget the bravery of 9/11 First Responders and – for too many –
the ultimate sacrifice they made to save victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Decades later, several First Responders, who survived the search and rescue efforts, still suffer serious
and terminal illnesses related to exposure to toxins during their lifesaving response.
