After fighting to repeal the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) for the past 40 years, NAPO officials said a decision could be made within 24 hours.
The Senate is 'likely' to vote on the Social Security Fairness Act (H.R. 82) within 24 hours, according to NAPO. The House of Representatives passed H.R. 82 on Nov. 12.
NAPO is urging members to reach out to their senators to support passage of the H.R. 82 now.
